Priority species surveys

Unlike the Habitats Directive, the Birds Directive does not distinguish between priority and non-priority species.  However, any bird species listed on Annex I of the EU Birds Directive or any Red Listed species is certainly considered to be a priority over other bird species when considering impacts of proposoed wind energy developments.

We have the capabilities and expertise to undertake a range of assessments for species including  Hen Harriers, Peregrine Falcon, Whooper Swan, Greenland White-fronted Geese, Lapwing, Curlew, Golden Plover, Red Grouse, Short-eared Owl, and Merlin.
